"Gods & Monsters" Personal Exhibition
“In the time of gods and monsters, what is the worth of a man?”
In 2021, I showcased an exhibition at the Cass Art gallery in Islington, featuring a series of paintings inspired by Greek mythology and the supernatural. The works explore the contrast between the divine and the ordinary, analysing how some ancient mythological stories can still feel relatable to real human experiences. Characters from Greek mythology and supernatural beings — sometimes astonishing, at other times terrifying — have frequently become the subjects of my art.
Each piece examines these figures not just as legends, but as symbols of familiar emotions and struggles. I am drawn to stories centered around entities that are not human, yet metaphorically represent some of the deepest and most complex aspects of humanity.
